Ndawo Yami

Zamajobe Sithole’s debut album, Ndawo Yami, is nothing short of remarkable. The album has exceeded sales of 25 000, deservedly achieving Gold status in SA. Zamajobe was nominated in four SAMA 2005 Award categories including Best Newcomer, Best Jazz Vocal Album, Best Joint Composition [with Erik Pilani] and Best Engineer [Robin Kohl/Jazzworx] for the album Ndawo Yami.

Ndawo Yami means ‘My Place’ in English and having made strides in 2003’s Idols contest with a Top 10 placement, together with the release of this album, Zamajobe has clearly defined a space for herself in the industry that is entirely her own. Her multi-talented capabilities [singing, performing and song writing] are astonishing and have been illustrated with this debut; she has an undeniably beautiful voice that will leave you love-struck.
