Arno Carstens is back with his 4th solo and 10th studio album, Atari Gala, boasting 12 new songs. And although it doesn't offer much more than his previous solo albums, it doesn't offer much less either.
Writing about love, life, death and spirituality, the album is exactly as Arno describes it: personal experiences put into song. And let's face it, if you've been in the music industry this long, you can basically do what you want to, right?
The album is a definite radio-friendly hit parade. But…and there is a but…there's some good news for all the Springbok Nude Girl fans out there.
It comes in the form of some (afterlife) satisfaction with head-banging "One Law", ominous base driven "Sticking It In" and Blue Eyes-like "Goodbye Crazy". And if this doesn't rock your world, the production quality, big sound and tight musos will.
